    Finally a hashtag for me. Anyway, I make comics and RPG art from time to time. Should probably get back to that since it doesn't look like the plague is going anywhere.

    It bothers me a bit that as I age I don't heal as well as I used to, but I don't mind that most of my scars are from playing with/bathing my cats. It's been an unexpected thing, but I sort of like that I've got scars from things I love.

    Like, reading into it, you can tell there were a lot of studio notes that compromised what might have been a better flick, but it's hard not to enjoy Brad Dourif devouring scenery at such a brutal clip that George C. Scott seems sedate.

    Spooky season continues with "Don't Look Now". Not bad, though very early 70s. It reminded me strongly of the original Wicker Man, and perhaps no surprise, they came out in the same year.

    I'm finally getting into spooky season and watched When a Stranger Calls. It was alright. I did not realize that basically everything I knew of that film happens in the first 15 minutes or so. It's a brilliant little short film that the rest of the movie can't quite live up to.

    I am super, SUPER fortunate to have the people I do as players. I cannot adequately convey how invested I am in the story we are telling. I could talk for hours about each of them and the things they add to the game.

    Suffice to say, no amount of experience as a DM will save you from occasionally screwing up a session or a campaign. If you're smart, you take action about it and try to improve your game. If you're lucky you have players equally dedicated to that goal.

    Canon-seeking is so bad for the creative brain. It's thought-poison. It is an actual mind-killer. I have someone right now saying they won't think up an age range for space hippos b/c they need WotC to give them an answer, but "about the same as people" isn't good enough.
