    Last week, Admin arrived late to Bargaining with the bare minimum of responses we'd expect. We guess they're passing?👎Our is still waiting on responses to 8 proposals! Faculty deserve WAY more respect than this from Prez !

    This week Admin REJECTED our request for a neutral Mediator to attend our next Bargaining Session. UArts Admin has repeatedly come to the table unprepared & Prez know a Mediator would hold them accountable!

    Just as true in higher ed as it is in K12! When profs, especially contingent faculty, are supported the quality of the classroom experience goes up & students thrive

    What we should be doubling down on right now is lowering class size and providing the other conditions and tools educators need to meet the academic needs of our students. -

    with ! With a CEO making 740k, should be able to figure out how to lift the salaries of the lowest paid above 40k. Claiming layoffs would be "necessary" to achieve pay raises is a classic union busting move. Shame!

    Today, execs raised the threat of layoffs during union wage negotiations if we did not agree to their unreasonable demands. This is an unconscionable stance. Here’s why 🧵 (1/6)

    Our told Admin that we expected written responses at the bargaining table today. Their response? They CANCELED the session! We won our union with a 99% yes vote & seems to think stalling & delaying will get him somewhere. It won't!
