    My mask protects you, your mask protects me 😷 You can't always see if someone around you has a compromised immune system or underlying medical condition. Protect others from by wearing a mask when you leave home + keeping at least 6 feet between yourself + others.

  6. Masks add another layer of protection to help stop the spread of . It's important that as many people as possible wear masks when leaving home. And if you're going to a supermarket, pharmacy or other life-sustaining business, you must wear a mask to enter the store.

  9. It's important for children to get their well-child visits because of important they receive at these visits, esp those needed to return to school in fall. Pediatricians have made changes to way they see patients to ensure patients get care during pandemic.

    Consumers should be cautious of products claiming to prevent, treat, diagnose or cure . There are currently no approved vaccines or drug products for COVID-19. The FDA is allowing remdesivir to be provided to hospitals for patients as treatment under an EUA.

    It's important that people who need dental care to treat acute issues see a dentist. Dental guidance we released last week allows for that statewide. advises that non-urgent dental procedures, like routine cleanings, shouldn't be conducted now + delayed until it's safe.

    One more important point about and face coverings- data suggests many people who have are asymptomatic (i.e. have no fever, cough or other symptoms). Since we can’t know for sure if we are shedding virus or not, a face covering can protect those around us.

    We received 1,200 doses of remdesivir to treat patients in hospitals who have + distributed the doses to 51 hospitals across PA. We will continue to work with federal partners to acquire more doses. Remdesivir isn't a cure for COVID-19 but it may shorten recovery time.
