    As of mid-Oct. employers were still sending wages they seized from workers' paychecks over defaulted student loans to the government, despite CARES. It may still be happening, but we don't know. The Department of Education shut the post office box where the funds were being sent

    You may not have heard of the Office of Federal Student Aid, but if you have a govt loan they impact your experience. FSA oversees tasks that are operationally complex and high stakes for borrowers. One example: pausing wage garnishment during the pandemic as ordered by CARES.
