I agree completely. At a minimum, let’s get rid of the unpredictability of independent electors and count the states' respective votes based on current formula without the separate college

Incredible hypocrisy by the White House. Proposing a, "trillion tree" executive order while reversing Clinton era restrictions on logging and development in the Tongass National Forest in Alaska. Devastating for the environment, local tribes, tourism.

I don't get the reluctance to wear face masks. The evidence is clear, it will save thousands of lives. We wear seat belts in cars. We don't smoke on airplanes. Schools require vaccinations. Until we get an effective vaccine, if you're a patriot, wear a mask! 😷 🇺🇸

We should abolish the Electoral College. It doesn't mean New York and California pick our president. It means all Americans pick our president.

WFP feeds tens of millions of hungry people worldwide, saving lives and helping to maintain peace and stability in vulnerable parts of the world. Famine and hunger remain great problems due to COVID, natural disasters and political conflicts.

I have been saying we should abolish the Electoral College since 1992. One person, one vote. It's that simple.

The Foreign Service officers I know and worked with always impressed me with their knowledge, commitment, and love of country. Let's give our State Department and its diplomats the tools and mission to meet this century's challenges. Read this 👇

Trump gives himself an A+ on how he has handled the pandemic. Talk about grading on a curve! The US has lost 200,000 lives to the virus and counting. Trump is not the cause of COVID-19, but he certainly failed to handle it.

A quick, partisan appointment to the Supreme Court could eviscerate the ACA, kicking millions off of health care. All in the middle of a pandemic. I hope the GOP puts country above party and deescalates, instead of adding to the divisive partisanship in politics.

I have always been proud of the bipartisan heritage of Kansas politics. No party has a monopoly on good ideas. But where are today's independent thinkers in Kansas? It's time for Kansas Republicans to stand up to Trump. My thoughts via

But, but, but USDA has got it covered. Farm to Food boxes going out everywhere. "Do right and feed everybody," right? Millions are going hungry in America's heartland, the center of the nation's food production via

As a former Chair of the House Intel Committee, I find it unbelievable that there isn’t bipartisan outrage about the Trump Administration's decision to prohibit live briefings with appropriate congressional committees on election security. Very chilling in an election year.

I am disturbed that Secretary Mike Pompeo is addressing the Republican convention from overseas. This breaks decades of precedent, and the Hatch Act, that compels diplomats stay out of partisan politics. This is not good for American leadership.
