    . traveled to fishing communities in AK this week with 's Dr. Onders & federal partners to discuss prevention plans and listen to local concerns. Everyone was tested prior to traveling & are taking preventative measures to protect those they visit.

    Recently issued Appendix 1 to health mandate 15 clarifies rules for massage therapists and their clients, including: pre-visit screenings, face coverings worn by both client & therapist, hygiene protocols, and record keeping. Read for more details:

    Thank you to Uber. The ride-hailing company will provide free rides to Alaska women facing violence at home during the shelter-in-place. Uber will donate a number of free rides to DV victims to specific Alaska domestic violence organizations in cities where Uber operates.

    Health mandate 15 was revised this week by Appendix 3 for Dental Hygiene & Dentistry. It notes risk mitigation strategies such as: telehealth, screenings for patients & staff, testing, outbreak planning, procedure prioritization, PPE use & more. Read at:

    Today issued COVID-19 Health Mandate 18 easing restrictions & clarifying travel within AK. Travel between communities on the road system & AK Marine Hwy is permitted. Travel is still prohibited to communities off the road system. Read more at

    FISH ON, SAFELY: No matter what kind of fishing you do, let’s fish safely this summer. Commercial fishermen must have protective plans in place. Sport, personal use & subsistence fishing remain open, but anglers need to follow state health mandates.

    Phase 2 of the Reopen Alaska Responsibly Plan began Friday, May 8. It's up to all Alaskans to continue their personal protective measures and keep a lid on . It protects our communities while allowing Alaska to get back to work.

    Protect yourself and others. Together we can slow the spread of COVID-19 and keep our communities safe. Practice good hygiene. Practice social distancing. Get tested if you are sick.

    Here is the link to Dr. Zink's slides from the press conference last night. The point that she (and also Gov. Dunleavy and Commissioner Crum) made is that we ALL have a role to play in saving lives as we responsibly reopen. Keep up the good work, Alaska!
