Of course all detransitioners are transphobic. All of them. How is this even a question. No, absolutely none of them are different than homophobic "ex-gays" in any politically meaningful sense.

Trans people play nice with detrans politics because gender is hard & our own cultural experience tells us some are trans people similar to the "ex-ex-gay" phenomenon. But these detransitioners still have internalized transphobia -- because all detransitioners are transphobic.

Perry Desmond & Joseph Cluse were detrans people who helped found the ex-gay movement. Many detrans people are homophobic, and thus blame transition on their homophobia (externalized or internalized). All detrans people are transphobic.

Dear detrans people: Do you have any idea how many of us detransitioned? Sylvia Rivera detransitioned ffs. SYLVIA RIVERA. You know who thinks the state should pay for retransitional surgery? Trans liberationists. Literally all of your political problems are our problems.

Dear detrans people: trans liberation is your liberation. But you instead choose to void the power of your own self-determination in favor of a politics of infinite self-abnegation & perpetual regret. Your politics is wishing you'd been more property. That is where we differ.

Transvestism, he/him lesbians, post-surgical changebacks, variant hormone regimes, femmeboys, bois... gender seems hard to figure out. And that's okay. Gender *is* hard to figure out. Gender politics is not. All detransitioners are transphobic.

Why shouldn’t they call themselves detrans? It’s an experience people naturally want support for, so there’s value in having a word to organise a community around. Plain ‘cis’ isn’t any use for that

I regret my phrasing; call yourself "detrans" if you want to be transphobic, which many do. Outside of that my thread is already the answer to your question. The purpose of detrans politics is to organize a specific vector of attack against transgender people.
