We've recently added Bally Astrocade support to 8bitworkshop. Here's a quick tutorial on how to program it!

Thank you for subscribing to "Poorly Optimized 8-Bit Assembly Snippets". This thread will be updated frequently as we hack the backend of a C compiler to generate 6502 code without really knowing what we're doing

Since SDCC supports 32-bit floats, all of the Z80 ports support floating point too. I'm digging the leisurely pace of these Lorenz Attractors, and wishing I had a pen plotter handy.

Trace logger in "Visual6502 Remix" working now, each log item is the full chip state and the first 4 KB of memory, and it's possible to go back in time. The UI stuff for this is all so super-simple and pleasant with Dear ImGui :) WASM version here:

The TMS9918/28 VDP family powered the graphics for the ColecoVision, Sega Game 1000, MSX and TI 99/4A computers. But it also powered the hybrid pinball games Baby Pac-Man and Granny and the Gators. Was it in any other arcade games?

I found this thing that I made awhile back that I’m not sure why I did. Put it on at your next DOS party!

Did you know 8bitworkshop has a 6502 Verilog module? We used it to make our own version of Woz's Apple-1 computer:

Check out 8Bit Workshop. An awesome, free, open source, all in one IDE for 8Bit retro game development (NES, VCS, ++) that runs entirely in your browser.
