So destroy ppl's wealth by dividing the community? Even if that's true, it is still monumentally stupid to break up a community because you don't like one person. Do you think this kamikaze virtue signaling has been worth it if it is as you describe?

I think the bear market has made the situation artificially bad. What annoys me is that the BSV side didn't honor their promises of giving up if they lost the hashwar. They lost by a mile but are still mining their chain, which right now is doing more damage than anything else.

Had they been open about wanting a split in the first place, or at least admitted that they would not give up if they lost, then things would likely not be nearly as bad as they are right now. People are still having discussions as to whether the split is permanent or not.

Allowing CSW to continue his campaign of vitriol against those who are actually building the system could have potentially destroyed the entire project for good. I've seen these kinds of personalities take over collaborative projects and run them into the ground before.

We are still in the infancy of blockchain development. I want people to explore the possibilities of the technology in any way they can, and in most cases the development on Bitcoin (any branch) is too slow to explore those possibilities properly.

I want anyone with an idea to try to see that idea come to fruition, and if it works and is compatible with a blockchain intended for money then we can copy it on BCH. This includes forks of the Bitcoin chain.

& I want ppl to go bankrupt for pushing bad ideas. If those who push ideas aren't the ppl that pay the consequences of bad ideas, the system is doomed. Open source dev teams is what's toxic.

If you don't like open source development then what the actual fuck are you even doing in cryptocurrencies in the first place?

I'm saying the linux model for bitcoin is toxic. There can't be a Linus in bitcoin. The authority must come from miners. The open source development was the means to the end. For sound money w/ crypto, it has to be open sourced.

But it does NOT need a Linux Foundation (e.g. Core/ABC/BU). Devs [teams] need to be hired directly by miners.

Absolutely not. It would muddy the waters between two of the three factions in the System by consolidating the power of Devs and Miners. These two factions have checks and balances on each other. Combining them is like combining the White House and the Supreme Court.
