WOW. I used to say the scariest commute of my life was when I still lived in Canada and there was a flash-freeze and gale-force winds blowing snow so I was driving blind in a whiteout (60 car pileup that day--no visibility, like an airplane in clouds) but that's far scarier.

I grew up in Missouri and have experienced that side of weather too. I still think I would prefer the flash-freezing over uncontrollable and unpredictable wildfires the size of mountains. SoCal has it all, earthquakes and fires!
