Full annotated cross-section of the Korean-design APR1400 reactor: Note how large the building is compared to the tiny red cylinder (72) that is the nuclear reactor vessel. The core is even smaller!

Seriously, this is a lo g time climate change denied saying ‘Fine. I concede - I have lost the fight about climate change. Now give me a solution I can support’. So just f#*^ing give it to him and let’s get on with decarbonisation!

Ok...here’s the thing. I have long loathed Terry McCrann for his climate change denialism. That’s not changing - me or him. But this article is proof positive that if the answer includes , the likes of McCrann will stop disputing the question, action will accelerate.

Although tbh I don't think Germany has a clear pathway to netzero either. High hopes for hydrogen are magical thinking at this stage. Currently it seems they're on track to locking in gas

Maybe there are more details in the proposals but it does seem a little early to ban fracking in USA. Yes, we need to make transitions to low C but there has to be a pathway to get there. Germany at least sets distant future dates for its phase outs

Insanity. Fracking has made the US the world leader in oil and natural gas production. Created trillions in wealth for producers and consumers. Made us less dependent on the Middle East. *Reduced* our carbon emissions. Fracking is American ingenuity at it's very best. 🇺🇸

Lufthansa CEO says zero emissions synfuel the only way for aviation to become carbon neutral. He’s right, and it would create a real market for green hydrogen. I wrote about this process seven (!) years ago

When announced that cost effective nuclear fission reactors was his runner up next project, I was inspired to summarize the cost drivers of fission and highlight our understanding of how to solve the problem:

..so that we can start rally eco rational citizens around the EU under one consumer action brand. Its silly, but may just work. In Sweden we’ve got 100+ suppliers of 100% solar/wind, so we launched the first 100% nuclear aug-2019. At least our source got capacity factor of 90% 😀

Does this mean that those of us who long have been calling for a technology-inclusive future low-carbon energy mix, as well as reminding people that climate change is much bigger than just energy - are right?
