Students aren't hung up like many older folks about trans classmates. I see it every year in my classrooms. Students are increasingly comfortable being who they are. Trans kids aren't a boogeyman, because students know and humanize them, instead of treating them like an abstract.

Watch episode 2 of Eyes on the Prize about school integration, it's the same story. Scared old people certain integrated schools are the end times, meanwhile students meet their actual Black peers and the abstract stereotypes they were fed break down in the face of experience.
