The fear of being teargassed, shot, arrested, or worse, is extremely real. However, you are putting yr body at risk simply by attending. It does not matter if you’re acting “peaceably”. There’s plenty of evidence to support this.

Checking in @ JC. Speaker in front of the elk says, “if you see someone not acting peaceably, assume they’re a fed.” I screamed “DON’T POLICE THE WAY PEOPLE PROTEST HOW ABOUT THAT?!”, a few ppl said “yeah how about that?” And then someone started a “black lives matter” chant.

It doesn’t matter if you’re shaking a fence or lighting a fire or if you’re standing there simply observing. Or if you’re complying after UA is declared and you’re leaving the area. It doesn’t matter if you’re a medic, a photographer, a journalist, if you’re able-bodied or not.

This night is chaotic. There is a person screaming to go to Salem, right next to the vigil that is still going on. What makes a vigil a vigil? It seems like disorganized speeches and just candles tbh over here. Also, someone is juggling.
