Bold ideas? @60Minutes mean an ideaology that has killed millions over the last 100 years. Call it what it is. Socialism dismantles freedom, limits the individual and destroys the structure of growing economy.

Yeah cause we are doing so well now. Look around you, this freedom you see isn’t freedom. You are free to live if you can survive. Corporations own our govt and the ultra rich make our laws. We can do better.
-
Do better with socialism?
-
Possibly yes. We need new ideas, we can’t keep chugging the way we are. I am not claiming every idea will work but we have to open the discussion and attempt to fix our current system.
-
Socialist policies have worked well in Europe when tried until neoliberalism derailed them.

Denmark. Happiest country in the world. 51.5% income tax rate. Americans hear "tax" and think "it'll stop me being rich!" If people really understood how wealth was distributed in the USA, they'd realize that most will never be "rich".https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPKKQnijnsM …

Put it this way : the "dreaded" socialism, equal redistribution of wealth, would put everyone in the US where only the top 16% are living now.
-
Bear in mind, due to the declined state of public education in America, something like 80% of American's can't be bothered to do basic math, much less understand the more complex subtleties of how economics actually work.

Ignore her and she will go way

No. Neither she nor they will go away. First they ignore you. Then they fight you. Then you win. I'm with her. I'm with my son's generation.

It's considered "radical" in Washington to advance policies that benefit the average American, instead of the lobbyists and special interests.
-
To be honest, I am shocked at the amount of people that don’t realize this on a fundamental level of basically any modern American political issue
-
TBH, I am amazed at the number of people who believe Gov't can fix anything.
-
I’m amazed at the number of people who don’t read history and forget that government is the only thing that ever has.
-
Don't think so, "gov't is the only thing'?????
-
Actually, yes. Government sets the conditions precedent for private industry. And private industry has not been capable of collective action.

https://twitter.com/JasonRylander/status/1081236373032587266 … You believe that's fixing when it's interfering with free enterprise. You see that as fixing while it's about controlling.

In this magical free market, can I steal your intellectual property, or is there some kind of governing body to protect your entrepreneurial efforts?

She really is the dumbest person elected to public office in the history of the United States, if not the world.
-
So you're admitting DJT wasn't legitimately elected
