“There's a lot of people more concerned about being precisely, factually, and semantically correct than about being morally right,” @AOC says in response to criticism that she’s made factual errors. https://cbsn.ws/2GYii3B pic.twitter.com/xKc2eB7GEk

I'm not a big fan of this specific quote, but I think you are misrepresenting it a bit by presenting it out of context. She followed up by saying she thinks facts are important & that self-correction is necessary.

        But does she ever self-correct?

I have rarely seen her say anything of substance and this is no difference. “Don’t care as much about the facts as you do how people will view you ethically”

Truth doesn’t contradict the good. The good doesn’t contradict truth. What she’s trying to say is that her motivations are good even if she doesn’t have a clue about reality. This is the classic case of good intentions. We all know where that path leads when devoid of truth.

Her motivations and intentions are not good to most sane people. They are completely disastrous. Her intentions would bankrupt the country in record time. Fortunately, her ideas have no basis in reality and they will never see the light of day.
