Anyone with experience ordering death/marriage records from towns formerly in Westchester Co., now in the Bronx? I went in person to the NYC Municipal Archives, could not find them. Tried ordering from the NY Dept of Health, they directed me back to the archives...

We would love names/suggestions of designers and creatives who draw on Black history to curate space that will welcome those who will find a home in our new center. We'd like to draw Black designers into the design + procurement process in renovated central library space.

While the 54th Regiment was the most photographed African American regiment during the Civil War, some photos of these men come to us in interesting ways. Sometime between 1863 and 1865, this famous picture of Sojourner Truth was taken.
