All you TERFs who fret about what's happening to women's sport? You're the shrill, angry "Surly Shirleys" of 2018. Get over it. It's "just the way it is now."https://4thwavenow.com/2018/04/15/surly-shirley-and-the-assault-on-womens-sport-then-and-now/ …

@Scribberlings an interesting piece but alghtlt out of context quote by Hall at the end there which doesn't do the situation justice. Hall admits she didn't run her best that day.pic.twitter.com/v8QIPv1IP8

You aren't seriously suggesting that Hall's comment that she "can't really say what she wants to say" isn't about Yearwood, a male teen who had gone through puberty, being allowed to compete "as a girl"? And did you read the 2nd source link in the paragraph you're criticizing?pic.twitter.com/w00LFwxPwG

Are you suggesting the "context" (that Hall didn't run her best race that day) somehow weakens the point: That a male teen running against a female teen is patently unfair? The Yearwood case, in fact, is one of the most blatant examples of the excesses of gender-identity politics

I find it uncomfortable when people quote things out of context. I find it gets in the way of honest debate. The article you listed did not mention that Hall admitted they thought they could have been yearwood on a good day.

And the article you quoted also failed to mention that yearwood is building up to transition when old enough. It implies yearwood was only doing this to win races which again isn't helping the real debate.

@KittyTrill So you think the fact that Yearwood is "building up to transition" makes it more acceptable that he is/was allowed, after full male puberty and no treatment, to compete against girls? That's the debate here.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

No the debate here is why you used that to then argue that the women at adult level feel the same. Why not find people who HAVE interviewed them?

There are plenty of women protesting--e.g., many athletes were opposed to Laurel Hubbard being allowed to compete (look it up). You evidently don't have a problem with it, so we'll agree to disagree.
