1. No control group. There are no--zero, zilch--studies comparing outcomes for gender-dysphoric youth fully supported in gender nonconformity by parents but not socially/ medically transitioned, vs. youth "affirmed" as "really" being the opposite sex.

3. Trans activists like to cite a few short-term studies (usually, Kristina Olson at U. Washington), showing "affirmed" trans kids are happy. Those studies do not compare less-drastic alternative approaches taken by loving parents who don't shame gender nonconforming behavior.
