Wow this is something else. Supporting the illegal sale of drugs to children, without an ounce of irony.

Irony would be you supporting children who know themselves better than you and not getting involved in other people’s business. What’s it to you how someone else’s child identifies? I get involved only to support children whose parents won’t listen to them. That’s child abuse.

@lifeafterdawn So, on the record, Dawn, do you "support" prominent trans activists asking followers to retweet suggestion that other people's kids (whom they don't know) should obtain puberty blockers online behind their parents' backs? Speaking as a parent and a journalist?3 replies 4 retweets 42 likes -
Everything said here is on the record. Here’s where I stand, as a mom and an abuse survivor: I support children. I support parents who don’t abuse children. I especially support children whose parents abuse or neglect them. As a journalist, my opinion is irrelevant.

So, how do you define abuse? I'm a mom. My daughter suddenly came out as trans at 16 (no prior signs of gender dysphoria). If found her a therapist that helped her work through mental health issues. I didn't affirm or help her get on testosterone. Was I abusive?

Hi, I’m a single mom raising three kids so I apologize that I didn’t respond fast enough for everyone sitting around doing nothing but hate tweeting. No. You did what you thought was best. Was your child diagnosed? No one is urging hormonal therapy on a child. Puberty blockers.

There's no medical consensus on the use of blockers. A bunch of online trans activists accusing parents of abusive behavior & promoting kids secretly obtaining blockers is pretty unethical behavior--if you have a moral compass.https://www.researchgate.net/publication/279313190_Early_Medical_Treatment_of_Children_and_Adolescents_With_Gender_Dysphoria_An_Empirical_Ethical_Study …

Even clinicians engaged in pediatric transition agree there are concerns. Your hubris vis-a-vis other people's children may be preventing you from seeing that.pic.twitter.com/yKUqNbHsAh

Here's another clinician, 2016. Stop promoting the lie that this is settled science. It isn't. Maybe look after your own kids and stop accusing others of doing it wrong?pic.twitter.com/gxFwAavmxp

My kids are fine ATM. There’s no citation. Who said this? You’re cherry picking. Go away TERF.

Yes, call us TERFs; it really increases sympathy for your position! The citation is from a paper by the Dutch group who pioneered the blockers you're so enamored of. Notice this, where they talk about "rethinking"? Funny they're less certain than you are. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/279313190_Early_Medical_Treatment_of_Children_and_Adolescents_With_Gender_Dysphoria_An_Empirical_Ethical_Study …pic.twitter.com/YswKVV6m4P

Well, you are what you are. I’m not interested in sympathy. I am here for all the trans kids who are happy and their parents who support them. Why would you want to take that away from them? How horribly cruel you must be.
