The underlying assumptions made clear at the end: 'Given that clinicians have a remit to support and affirm young people...' Who says that's their role? I want them to prioritise attending to young people's wellbeing, not 'supporting and affirming' regardless...

As always, these people want to make it seem that "affirmative" care is the gold standard supported by clinical consensus and robust research. It's absolutely untrue. There is huge controversy around the treatment of gender-dysphoric children.
