Women have more skin in the biology game than men do, yes. There is n doubt that womens issues need to continue to include the issues that affect the majority of women. They can, however, also include the issues that affect all women - sexism, harassment, abuse to name some.

I think we understand the claims around gender identity. Women's spaces & legal status are an issue for us, so is early transitioning, so we're not going to agree on this. I think clearer language and less conflation would be a step forward http://www.troubleandstrife.org/new-articles/you-are-killing-me/ …

I agree there is a difference between some cis women and trans women, but see no evidence the TERF perspective is compelling. When TERF's minority opinion is deadset against the majority view, as is now the situation in Canada on accepting trans women as women, what do we do?

...I believe strongly that the way to manage this is a conversation the transgender community needs to have that we have not had effectivelty for a numer of reasons. Sadly, the oppression by overzealous anti-trans viewpoint has contributed to our hyper vigilance for oppression..

In clear, concise language describe how anyone in this thread is advocating "discrimination" against trans folks--apart from some people being unwilling to agree that a trans person is literally and exactly equivalent to the sex opposite to the one they were born as.
