Please explain to me the problem you have with the expectation that the laws of Canada be followed.
Your by-line calls you "a community". Are you a relevant Canadian community or just an interfering gaggle of anti-trans activists predominantly from places where my human rights are not protected?
BC human rights code. Its wording is clear. It can’t be used against The Sign or its author. http://www.bchrt.bc.ca/human-rights-duties/publications.htm …
Is there an update on this? Any media covering this story?
If she thinks the UK and US are "lacking" in transgender rights, I can't imagine what she thinks of Saudi Arabia and Iran...
If the sign said "trans women are Males" that would be a Biological TRUTH (other than say a person with chromosomal 'mix' = Intersex where the sign might read "trans women are Males or extremely rarely Intersex") With signs like these there would be no legal case to answer.
The measured calls for tyranny and suppression of speech in this thread are frankly frightening. If you disagree with the speech presented, counter with better speech. Censorship never works and often provokes a backlash.
Canada too, idiot. Just because a new unjust law tells us that knowledge of biology is criminal, doesn't mean that Canadians are going to agree. You are using a mental illness to get your 15 minutes of fame. It is disgusting. You are on the wrong side of history, not us.
