Have you no respect for an adult's personal autonomy?
If an adult is financially dependent on their parents, and they do something their parents strongly disagree with, perhaps that adult needs to realize their parents will withdraw financial support. Adulthood has both privileges and responsibilities.
Or--as stated earlier in thread--perhaps the dependent 18+ ADULT should make a deal with parents, not to medically transition while in college. With unis covering SRS and hormones on the student health plan, a parent who considers that harmful has reason to object.
You can't have it both ways: You can flog the idea that 18-yr-olds are adults fully capable of making irreversible medical decisions, but you can't then scream "abusive" when parents won't facilitate a situation they strongly disagree with. Adults make choices, with consequences.
