Just as the issue of pediatric transition/the excesses of trans activism cut across party lines, so should evidence-based understanding of climate change. We're all in this together and supporting renewable energy has no downside. Shouldn't be right vs. left.

Skepticism over the Anthropogenic Global Warming narrative isn't denial. If anything its recognizing that the models aren't accurate.

Too many people don't understand that an average GLOBAL increase in temp does not mean it warms everywhere all the time. Weather becomes more extreme, both hotter and colder, stormier, rainier and more dry - depending on location. The name truly was a big mistake.

Disagree, but even if I didn't, what's the downside to renewable energy? Fossil fuels are dirty, polluting, and we're running out anyway. Plenty of money to be made if capitalism is your gig, too. And jobs, jobs, jobs.
-
We're not running out of fossil fuels.

The human lust for power to fuel our modern lifestyle (the irony of us communicating about this on devices that are sucking up that power) is a negative no matter what. No perfect solutions, only mitigation/lesser evils.

There's plenty of hypocrisy to go around. The irony of pomo-lefties approving drugs and surgeries for their teens (who they only feed organic food, won't vaccinate, and treat with naturopathy/homeopathy) is not lost on us...

The only reason we're not there is that conservatives have gummed up what should be a bipartisan effort to accelerate research into alternative energy. All that's lacking is political will. Most citizens, right and left, would embrace that (see polls on the matter).

You seem to be forgetting science. Science puts definite limits on what technology can achieve. You seem to think if only govt poured dollops of money into laboratories, perfect solutions will pop out. I've been an engineer my entire adult life. it doesn't work that way.
