I completely agree. But ask Sly who are “the right-wingers”? LGBT activists haven’t acted in the best interests of lesbians, and “right wingers” haven’t acted in the best interest of “conservatives and Christians” - perhaps it is time we begin a long overdue dialogue.

It's also disturbing as hell that only right-wing media outlets in the US will touch the issue of transitioning kids/teens, when so many of them are gay or lesbian. Lefty LGB press (now mostly trans press) only cheerleads pediatric transition.

The right does diversity by ideologies and has a big tent that includes ones that are mutually exclusive. Also, the right works with its 80% friends on common goals. Fiscal conservative/social liberals (or moderates) often support gay equality.

Libertarian-conservatives tend to be more socially liberal. The skepticism of (some) feminists/LGB is because of social conservative campaigns against things like gay marriage and support for "reparative therapy" of gay kids.
