I completely agree. But ask Sly who are “the right-wingers”? LGBT activists haven’t acted in the best interests of lesbians, and “right wingers” haven’t acted in the best interest of “conservatives and Christians” - perhaps it is time we begin a long overdue dialogue.

I’ll pitch it to my editor but I’ll only do it if you let me do a guest post for the purpose of quoting and linking it, so it reaches the left. DM to discuss. cc:

The right does diversity by ideologies and has a big tent that includes ones that are mutually exclusive. Also, the right works with its 80% friends on common goals. Fiscal conservative/social liberals (or moderates) often support gay equality.
-
Libertarian-conservatives tend to be more socially liberal. The skepticism of (some) feminists/LGB is because of social conservative campaigns against things like gay marriage and support for "reparative therapy" of gay kids.

On Twitter, most of my followers are ardent social conservatives, but almost no leftists due to their prejudices and ignorance of conservative ideas and people. Feminists who agree with me on trans won’t RT me, due to prejudice IMO.

An article from you about your success (?) with reducing homophobia with your compatriot social conservatives would be fascinating and maybe open a dialogue.
