Of course, but that's just derailing and completely irrelevant to the Orwellian NewSpeak being discussed here re: "chestfeeding dads."

Why do you care what they call themselves? How does it hurt you?

For the last time: it's not what they CALL THEMSELVES. It's that a venerable women's org has turned into a
#NewSpeak propaganda organ.2 replies 4 retweets 38 likes -

If you're so concerned about it, why not leave La Leche to their policies and create your own organization?

LLL is the leading org helping mothers breastfeed. Breastfeeding is partly a skill. We need SUPPORT. Men cannot breastfeed.

She's derailing w/ genetic anomalies; irrelevant.LLL caved to activist trans men on "triggering" language. But they need nursing support too

I dont understand how a person can claim to be a man, breastfeed anyway AND be triggered by the accurate term "breastfeeding".

So you're ok with transmen breastfeeding, as long as they're actually breastfeeding, and as long as they call it breastfeeding. Got it.

And ditto for transwomen. Got it. It's the word 'chest' you object to, not breastfeeding genetic males.

I don't object to males breastfeeding. I also don't object to the extinction of dinosaurs or rail against the existance of unicorns.

Again, this is just semantic mindfuckery. Even WOMEN who haven't given birth are unlikely to produce adequate milk. http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/infant-and-toddler-health/expert-answers/induced-lactation/faq-20058403 …

Unless, as the article says, they induce milk production. I knew a childless adoptive mother who nursed her baby quite sufficiently.

Yes. It can be done. But not always. There is no evidence that transwomen who transitioned after puberty have adequate breasts for the job.
