1. Parents most need support in fully accepting their kid's gender nonconformity but not endorsing they are "really" opposite sex.

I realize the suicide stat is a shocker but they are def a high risk group. I had never known anyone who committed suicide.

There's not a high rate in kids. Adult rates are high even in ppl who medically transitioned. Bullying/hateful parents are risk factors.

Since I joined parent support groups personally witness at least 10 families losing a child:(

In the US, most were kids fully supported in transition (e.g. In San Diego). High rate of other mental health issues is biggest factor.

I do not know if the stat is accurate. But its a scarey world for our kids. We need more research, more drs, etc
