For years, your site has been the go-to for takedowns of quackery & pseudoscience. But by studiously ignoring the flood of detransitioners, particularly women who regret adolescent transition, you allowed @ScienceBasedMed to fall prey to confirmation bias. Disappointing.https://twitter.com/gorskon/status/1410219346748715010 …

If
@gorskon &@stevennovella are interested in hearing from young people who did not benefit from transition — and you should be interested, in the name of science — you could start with this interview with@detransgayguy conducted yesterday.https://youtu.be/6-ryJegz7noShow this thread -
You two seem most interested in making sure young people get access to gender affirmation treatment. What would you say to Garrett, who received an orchiectomy & believes he was affirmed too quickly? Don’t you owe your readers coverage of experiences like his? If not, why not?

Just scanning his article, I see multiple fallacies. I hope someone is able to respond thoroughly and substantively to them, though he appears to be less interested in engaging neutrally and non-defensively with the subject than in responding in immature, offensive ways.

There are also people who regret transition but who do not detransition, so they would not be counted in any "detransition" study. Many of these people do not want/cannot afford more medical interventions/complications that would be needed to pass as their natal gender.
