Idk if I like ROGD as a concept. Teens adopt all sorts of different belief systems, but we don't go around calling it rapid onset vegetarianism. The problem comes when a young person's trans identity can't be questioned and leads to rapid medical interventions.

Oh mine had rapid onset veganism too! This is a great term and I am going to use it.
The idea I think was to contrast with earlier and gradual development of a different gender identity, the one we were all familiar with. I prefer "late onset"2 replies 0 retweets 5 likes -

I was a rapid onset vegetarian as a teen. It was because I was exploring my beliefs about the world. It was not a medical condition.

To be fair to the person who first used that term (researcher Lisa Littman), it was not meant to diagnose/describe a medical condition, but was just a descriptor for a phenomenon being observed (a sudden declaration of trans identity in adolescence).
