1/ No amount of yelling, threatening, or attempting to deplatform people will change the fact that the evidence for puberty blockers is nowhere near where we should want it to be. The response should be doing more research, not shooting messengers.https://www.bbc.com/news/health-56601386 …

Control groups using random assignment and alternative Tx. Problem is no parent would sign their kid up. Half would be terrified to get PBs and the other half terrified not to get them. I dunno I don't design clinical trials.

The Swedish longitudinal study that was corrected last year had already clearly laid out that cross-sex hormones do not help adult mental health. Maybe we can leave it to the Swedes to do the long-term analysis on PBs to see if mental health is any better in the long run

I’ve worked w/ kids who were in genuine anguish & desperate to access PBs, but their parents wanted them to have therapy first. Many of them desisted after time, & re-identified w/ their natal sex; some went on to take hormones as adults. Initial presentations were identical.

Exactly.
That's the question. Iatrogenic risks are huge. No long term studies. 1,000s of years on earth and puberty has never been "optional" for developing human bodies. Putting kids in diseased states to attempt to cure mental distress is regressive.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
