Two years after @jessesingal's Atlantic article was published, TRAs STILL think it's some kind of outrageous revelation that a mother connected to 4thWaveNow was interviewed for Jesse's piece.
They can't stand it that Jenny's daughter desisted and is happy about it.https://twitter.com/Jennifer_star/status/1281795446533324800 …

That article was the first in the mainstream media to include the words of young female desisters & their parents. That Singal also interviewed pro-transition therapists & families is irrelevant to the scolds who don't want anyone to know some young people desist or detransition.

Atlantic editors even approved a quote by an Internet activist who encourages youth to obtain puberty blockers online, behind their parents' backs.https://twitter.com/4th_WaveNow/status/1038881907834908672?s=20 …

Bonus: They boosted Jones' website. pic.twitter.com/ns78i1yaSK1 reply 0 retweets 10 likesShow this thread -
Singal's article, by any honest measure, is balanced, advocating for thorough and skilled assessment (which Jenny's daughter Delta received) for young people with gender dysphoria. But OMG!!!! can you believe a mother who wrote for 4thWaveNow was interviewed!

Singal profiled Delta's therapist Laura Edwards-Leeper in his article, covering not only Delta's experience, but that of a young person who the same therapist recommended for transition.pic.twitter.com/0FPtWSJvVk

Singal's piece managed to annoy everyone--from those of us who would prefer young people to wait until adulthood if they are going to contemplate medical transition, to pro-pediatric-transition advocates (both reasonable and unhinged)--and everyone in between. But:

Only one of those factions have continued screeching in a state of perpetual outrage over that
@TheAtlantic article for the past 2 years, attempting to cancel not only Singal for writing it, but anyone who dares to cite or discuss it in a reasoned manner.pic.twitter.com/hkAN7gz5N0

Hint: The group still screeching & cancelling aren't the ones who actually give a crap about the happiness of females. They want to suppress the words of women & girls who are happy they no longer ID as trans. Those women aren't useful to their narrative.

Read it if you haven't already. "They" don't want you to. They still wish they could get
@TheAtlantic to take it down. But they can't do anything about all the printed copies already read and contemplated by thoughtful people on all sides of the issue.https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2018/07/when-a-child-says-shes-trans/561749/ …2 replies 31 retweets 63 likesShow this thread -
Replying to @4th_WaveNow @TheAtlantic
Some take issue with the cover photo. Because, according to them, its of someone who is trans, still identifies that way, and didn't consent to having their picture used in the article.

If that's the case (first I've heard) that was an editorial decision that should have been challenged. Do you have a source for that assertion? Regardless, doesn't take away from the fact that Singal took a nuanced stance vis-a-vis pediatric transition.
