We encourage everyone to actually read the entire linked article, which references clinical literature. DID remains a highly controversial diagnosis. The idea that 4thWaveNow "denies science" pertaining to sexual abuse/trafficking because we practice skepticism is patently false.pic.twitter.com/j8fmp8Cglq

I encourage anybody who reads the article linked above to read current literature on DID as opposed to the articles selected by 4thwaveNow, selectively taken from the lit of 80's and 90's, to fit their narrative. 1/https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4959824/ …

But to summarise .. 1. DID is not an iatrogenic disorder 2. DID patients can be reliably and validly diagnosed with structured and semistructured interviews 3. DID can be differentiated from BPD & other psychiatric DXs. 2/

4/ Patients with DID benefit from best practice therapy for trauma and dissociation If you are reading this and have any concerns about dissociation and trauma this is a good place to start looking for information. https://www.isst-d.org 3/

You claim we promote a "narrative" but if you actually read the article/links, you see we encourage skepticism & caution with therapists. So: Did Braun (sued for $10+million) engage in "best practice"? Do you believe other discredited DID therapists practiced ethically?
