Probably wouldn't have stood a chance if religious zealots back then had the same kind of cultural power gender totalitarians do today in censoring heretics. It's especially bad in the US. UK major media cover the growing controversy over child transition--here, it's crickets.

The Church of England sits in the House of Lords. That's power. What he, and others had, was evidence. Guess what we have? Even more evidence than Darwin had Folk like Nettie Stevens, Barbara McClintock followed Darwinpic.twitter.com/F6zDuZ5XUr

I'm not convinced that what yer seeing is more cultural power. I think what yer seeing is sheer cowardice

Agree about cowardice, but where does the fear come from? Certainly some people have lost their jobs and status for questioning gender orthodoxy.

I think it's a failure to grasp the importance of what we learned at school tbh, a refusal to implement it. Your maths teacher didn't just tell you Pythagoras' equation, right? He proved it to you, walking thro the Proof, right?

Right. But inconvenient evidence is suppressed by gender totalitarians (who do have actual power in the media, medicine/psychology, academia, judiciary). We're to the point where talking about biological sex in sexually dimorphic primates can get you canceled. Ask

Cancelled? What does that even mean? Is it like being deported? Put in jail for 10 years? Or "Och, I don't like you.. not talking to you online any more"?

Does it mean, say, Someone wi a PhD won't get a university tenured post? Ye just need to be working class wi a PhD and chances of ye getting a tenured post are like winning the lottery - been like that for decades Who the hell gets tenure these days anyway!
