I suspect this will be a much lauded move in Seattle but all this will do is make me change the channel. I know he’s lying. I still want to hear it.https://twitter.com/KUOW/status/1242576246271119360 …

He is an active threat to the public health. People are listening to him and they believe him.

And you think public radio refusing to air his press conferences is going to change that? All this will do is make it harder for those who listen to KUOW (for instance: me) to keep up with what he is saying.

You're well informed. You read multiple sources. You're a journalist. The less-informed population relies on top officials to tell them the truth. Better for your state officials, who actually know what they're talking about, to get a platform during a global pandemic.

If your state or county issues a "shelter in place" or other restrictions, and people listen to Trump saying how "beautiful" it will be on Easter Sunday when everyone packs into churches, they may take their sane officials' advice less seriously.

It's not like Trump's "press conferences" are being banned! They're still available elsewhere online or in print. Trump treats these things as campaign rallies and bragging sessions. He shouldn't even be the one leading them and speaking OVER actual experts like Fauci.
