In a time when you're called an ignorant bigot if you discuss the pros & cons of pediatric transition, it's crucial to be accurate in your claims. Example: Some say puberty blockers sterilize kids. No, they do not. Blockers followed directly by cross-sex hormones sterilize.

Problem is the latest research shows the children given puberty blockers almost invariably are going onto cross sex hormones. http://users.ox.ac.uk/~sfos0060/Biggs_ExperimentPubertyBlockers.pdf …pic.twitter.com/nK22zGzY4C

Yes, that point is key, and it is accurate. It is not accurate to say blockers by themselves sterilize (as far too many people do say).

Would it be true to say most children prescribed puberty blockers end up losing their fertility? Genuine question. If most go on to cross-sex hormones it would seem to be almost inevitable?

When I get chance I will dig out some sources where they are quite clear about sterility. Even counselling parents not to be so selfish as to want grandchildren. I’ve seen it more than once but not yet assembled the links.

Did you read this whole thread? Many instances of clinicians acknowledging it (and there are more--this is just a smattering). The video of Ehrensaft upthread shows her making the "you selfish people only want grandkids" argument.
