In the absence of intelligent discussion, is a moratorium better than a free-for-all? In the cases of pediatric transition, I tend to think so, but adults should be fully entitled to sterilize or kill themselves. Why SHOULDN'T "gender clinics" get rich on self-destruction? https://t.co/aoFGJDMpxd

Hasn't the WPATH madness shown that "recommendations" can be created and promoted for medical advantage, though? At this point I have more hope for legislators to stop this conflation madness than the AMA or AAP, which seem easily captured by zealots with "working groups."

And by "medical advantage" I mean financial advantage: quick profits through "stunning and brave" niche marketing.

The logical "longer period" is the legal age of majority and adult consent. I see no need for a different standard at this time. This seems more like sex or voting than getting a tattoo or one's nose pierced. It is already simpler than legally purchasing alcohol.

Micro-managing one treatment is largely what happened with abortion in the fifty different state legislature of the United States, and GOP committees seem even worse at prioritizing patient care than self-dealing medical cliques.
