This is what the people who warned against alliances with the right feared all along — that the right would use concern about medical transition of minors as a Trojan horse to erode gay rights and create a hostile environment for people who identify as trans.

Fair enough but "the left" is perfectly happy sterilizing children, so what's your suggestion?

Everyone needs to be warned: despite the in-fighting withing LGBT, conservatives see us all as one homogeneous group of sexual deviants. We can't jump to support things just because we're mad at TRAs or TERFs. Beware.
-
That's not true. While many of us conservatives still do not support the redefinition of marriage, we absolutely see a huge difference between same sex marriage and transgenderism. We recognize the harm that policies the TRAs are advocating will bring to women and children.

If anyone is confused, Bill 1215 is different from Bill 1057 which is against the medicalization of trans kids.
-
Yes, we are aware. That's not the issue. The issue is whether the same lawmakers are sponsoring and/or supporting all the bills (none of which we support, including 1057, which overreaches in our opinion).

It's possible to support one bill and fight against another.
-
It is. But how would you feel if the same people are behind the two bills? Would this matter at all or complicate the picture, in your view?
