There was, in effect, a control group of unblocked children--"those who needed more time due to 'possible comorbid psychiatric problems and/ or psychological difficulties.' This second group did not receive any physical intervention and so serves as a comparison."pic.twitter.com/Ym1Pe70gfI

Right. At least one clinician (Alexander Korte in Germany) has raised these concerns about blockers creating persistence in trans identification. Without a control group we can't know for sure.
