by Karasic. There has to be a billing code to pay for hormones, surgeries, etc. Activist pressure on the WHO resulted in removal of gender dysphoria as a mental condition. Once that happened, way was cleared for the current effort to do same thing in the DSM.

If gender dysphoria is not a disorder, surely insurers won't pay for hormones and surgeries to treat it? Wouldn't they just become elective cosmetic treatments?

In ICD 11 it's under "sexual health" as "gender incongruence." That's the billing code.
