Yes & no. Even yr promoting tweet claims Littman's aim was "stoke fear in the public" & the vid descriptor says "hurts trans kids." You accuse her of "scientific illiteracy." None of that is accurate. You assume bad faith in an initial descriptive effort, as @A_Sane_Skeptic said.

Having read the study, it's clear she designed the survey to get the results she wanted.

I do know about research methods. That's how I know this study is flawed to the point of uselessness.

Would you have the same complaints about targeted recruitment of trans kids from trans-supportive websites, support groups, or clinics? Because that's what Kristina Olson did for some of her studies. Because she wanted to study affirmed trans kids. See how this works?

That’s a good point. And Olson is a champion of affirming therapy.

I'd like to know if
@sjwdebates or@econbrkfst have a problem with the fact that Olson didn't recruit non-affirming parents for her studies; or with her finding her subjects in gender clinics that affirm kids. I don't, because what she was studying was....affirmed trans kids.2 replies 0 retweets 2 likes
In terms of impact/influence, K. Olson's work is funded by MacArthur grants & U.of Washington, & has been used by trans activists to prove affirmation is the only way. Yet she made no attempt to find a control group of kids loved & supported but not affirmed as opposite sex.
