1. THREAD. We've been sent another batch of screen grabs from the online parent support group we tweeted about recently (vis-a-vis fake penises for children). The new batch of posts pertain to undergarments & other strategies parents use to conceal their children's male genitalia

4. Not dysphoric at age 6, no problem with penis. Mom got the tucking underwear. This is not an uncommon thing that some parents report. Why are such children considered the opposite sex by their parents? Who has encouraged them to think this way?pic.twitter.com/eq72ZiFimj

5. The two most popular lines of underwear recommended on these forums by parents who want to hide their young children's male genitalia seem to be Tuck Buddies & Leolines, both thriving Etsy stores. https://www.etsy.com/listing/584289453/transgender-mtf-tuck-buddies-short-style?ref=lp_internal-11 …

6. None of this was happening in the US before 2007, when Dr. Norman Spack introduced puberty blockers at his Boston clinic. No 8000-member online groups of mothers sharing taping tips, or fretting over their kids' genitals. Twelve years later: The US is Trans Kid Central.pic.twitter.com/Q4L01bJzwu

Several antisemites have resurrected this tweet. Don't bother spewing your vile conspiracy theories here. Dr. Spack's religion has nothing to do w/ his work. Also, Dr. Spack believes he is helping young people. He's not a villain. Critique the practice, not the man.

Magnus Hirschfield was Dr. Spack's idol. Their religion has everything to do with what they did. No Christian scientist would've done this. I'd even say that no Muslim scientist would either.

Your disgraceful antisemitism is duly noted. Puberty blockade for childhood gender dysphoria was pioneered by Dutch clinicians. The top gender clinic in the US is run by a woman who is not Jewish. Now you're blocked.

Oh, and one more thing about your antisemitism: The most gender reassignment surgeries in the world are done in IRAN, often forced on gay and lesbian people. It's laughable that you would posit Muslim doctors wouldn't do such things.

Correction: As of 2008 (can't find current figures) Iran was second in the world behind Thailand--a mostly Buddhist country.https://www.huffpost.com/entry/iran-sex-change-operation_n_1568604 …
