It's my view coalition work mitigates the homophobia & backlash we'd otherwise see. It forces people to throw their combined strength behind an approach that doesn't, say, throw butch lesbians & GNC people under the bus. Or endanger fundamental employment/housing/human rights.

1/ We need to bear in mind that we're not trying to change the minds of idealogues. We're trying to reason with those who are either open to reviewing the evidence on its merits (or lack thereof), or who aren't familiar enough with the issues to have formed an opinion yet...

The question no one seems to have an answer for is why people like this (and there were several like him) were asked to write endorsements for the document. We used to have debates between Right *and* Left, i.e. Feminists for Life vs Pro choice feminists. Then ppl learned both views in their entirety. That all stopped when ppl *refused* to debate: "But that gives the other side a hearing!" So now, neither side gets a hearing.
