Of course not! But this isn't about Emily. It's about what one commenter said in this thread: Many people will take one look at the document & toss it when they see the orgs endorsing it. While you may dismiss that concern, not everyone does--*because of their history*.

Then documents which talk about the harms of the affirmative approach must do more than a one-sentence mention of the harms to LG youth. If you want to build trust with the very important population of detransitioned lesbians, this stuff matters (speaking as the mother of one).

Agree entirely with that. But studiously AVOIDING mention of LG youth--not just "children"--is an elephant in the room. Lots of straight kids are getting swept up in this, as are youth on the spectrum. Everyone matters. That's the point.

You're missing the point. For younger children, it's not about being LGB now--it's about decades of replicated research showing that many gender-dysphoric younger kids grow up to be LGB adults if left alone.
