Unsolicited advice to detransitioners and desisters. Neither the pharma companies making billions on hormones, nor the surgeons building thriving practices on top and bottom surgeries cared if you are an R, D or I. More kids will get hurt if you can't find a way to collaborate.

Unless you **listen** to (in particular) lesbians/gay men who grew up in homes where homosexuality was condemned as sinful, you won't get this: It isn't about which party you vote for, it's about wariness of forming alliances with organizations which promote that view.

The pressure shouldn't be on detransitioners wary of ADF/Heritage to just drop their concerns, as if it's "just politics" or some trivial parlor game (instead of about a fundamental difference in values). Why not pressure the ADF and Heritage to actually listen to those concerns?

Don't disagree. The message I am trying to convey is--people who are united by the same cause need to find a way to work through their differences. If not for their own sake, then for the sake of the generation of kids who will get hurt if detranstioners don't unite.

I responded because you mentioned political parties. No one I've seen believes **individuals** shouldn't "reach across the aisle." But when some try to convince very thoughtful ppl why they're wrong in their views about the ADF/Heritage, that won't unite anyone.
