Their "evidence" is two studies out of Univ of Washington by Kristina Olson showing that little kids allowed to dress and play in the gender-atypical way they prefer are happy. Seriously. That's basically it.

It's steeped in confirmation bias, because to the affirmers, this somehow proves the little kids are "truly trans." Instead of gender-atypical children who of course don't need adults telling them their hair, toy, and play choices are somehow wrong.
