Different specifics, but me too in terms of not fitting the stereotypes for girls. I'm still not. Finding of late that there is great professional hostility towards me as a female historian. I think the men want to stay in control of the narrative; I'm a threat to that.

Sounds like you've been taking those online tests. Thing is, they are only capable of comparing results which necessarily include cultural artifacts created by gendered socialization which amplifies whatever slight differences there really are b/n males & females.

So refreshing - I have always known I was towards the more "masculine" end but I have never thought of myself as a man, even for a moment. Quite happy to be a straight female.
