Is it something in the water? Journalists at big US media outlets seem to guzzle an especially large amount of it.https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2019/08/16/non-binary-pregnant-navigating-most-gendered-role-all-motherhood/ …

So many women are irreversibly altering their bodies & minds. Then some want to get pregnant & go into crisis because they've rejected the very part of themselves that gives birth and nourishment. The MSM laps these stories up. There are never enough of them, always newsworthy.

These stories all read like @TheOnion of yesteryear (now even the Onion wouldn't DARE make fun of the obvious absurdity of this). Reporters/editors genuflect and write long puff pieces, while studiously ignoring some actual news: growing population of desisters/detransitioners.

Pregnancy, nursing, giving birth reduced to a "gendered role," vs a uniquely female physical reality, while the angst of "navigating" that reality is all that matters to US newspapers--along w/trans kid puff pieces which seldom mention the sterilization of those kids. #irony

There have been tough, no-nonsense WOMEN giving birth & raising kids for centuries. Our foremothers were not all delicate flowers on fainting couches. Even today some women work hard until the moment they give birth. The idea that it's all some hyper-feminized "role" is pure BS.

And not to put too fine a point on one aspect of it, but....ever seen (or been!) a woman in active, natural labor? About the furthest thing from "feminine" (or a "role"). #MammalPower

Growing a baby and birthing is uniquely female and no man can do it. Greatest power in the universe. Feminist hate themselves.

I keep thinking about my mom in this climate. She was a tomboy as a kid; she rode motorcycles; she was a weightlifter; she was a climbing instructor. She is also a straight woman and a great mom. She grew up free to be HERSELF, rather than being told she must actually be a man.

The more time passes with the trans narrative, the more convinced I become that it is deeply misogynistic and homophobic, but has been able to sneak into the culture by hiding under a rainbow flag.

African American women have the worst maternal mortality rate in the Western world, but there's nothing to see there. Instead lets focus on the "unique" difficulties of this tiny self-selected population.
