Hi. They're citing Biggs' un-reviewed "paper" that it turn cites a blog post on an anti-trans campaign site, which in turn retells an anecdote from an anonymous second hand source.http://4thwavenow.com/tag/puberty-blockers-and-sexual-function/ …

That "secondhand source" isn't "anonymous"; it's none other than comments made on Facebook by top US gender therapists. Maybe Biggs could have cited a more mainstream source if these people talked about these things more openly and publicly. https://www.facebook.com/groups/transgenderhealth/permalink/1201494443228313/ …pic.twitter.com/GZtaUjgBU9

These clinicians--read the entire thread linked above--admit that NO ONE KNOWS what the impact will be on the adult sexual function (including orgasmic potential) of puberty-blocked kids. Leeper-Edwards, Leibowitz, Olson-Kennedy--the stars of affirmative care DON"T KNOW.

Article Biggs cites isn't anonymously authored. It's by @BJontry . Why not engage with the inconvenient content-- experts in pediatric gender transition admit they're, in effect, experimenting on their patients--instead of playing "shoot the messenger"?https://4thwavenow.com/2018/07/08/does-prepubertal-medical-transition-impact-adult-sexual-function/ …

Learn to read. I didn't say the article Biggs cites is anonymous, I said the article which he cites relies on an anonymous anecdote. None of the FB conversations you post support the claim being made, they simply say the aren't aware of any research on this.

Learn to write. What's the "anonymous anecdote" you're referring to? How interesting that the complete lack of data on this--as well as concerned clinicians THEMSELVES searching for it--seems to be of no concern to you; it's all about going after Biggs for raising the issue.

I was referring to person mentioned in the first paragraph. That's the closest that blog post comes to actually evidencing the claim "some children…never develop the capacity for orgasm" instead of some clinicians saying "more evidence would be nice."

Pretty sure Brie didn't link to the YouTube because the kid was a minor (and not a celebrity). But leave that as it may: Is Jazz and family talking on national TV and in
@TeenVogue about never having any orgasm due to blockers un-anonymous enough?https://www.teenvogue.com/story/jazz-jennings-talks-to-parents-about-orgasm …2 replies 0 retweets 3 likes -

Jazz also confirmed a known side-effect of puberty blockers: depression/suicidal thoughts. Jazz discussed it often on "I Am Jazz;" was on antidepressants. Dr. Biggs covered this in his article, too, and how the Tavi failed in not letting the public know.https://twitter.com/4th_WaveNow/status/978304113480994816 …

So, in summary: Biggs stuck his neck out, asking the public to seriously consider possible damaging side effects to pediatric transition: sexual function issues, suicidality, sterility, and much else the Tavi, trans activists, & most of the media would rather sweep under the rug.

No one has data to PROVE whether puberty-blocked kids will have normal adult sexual function. But there's data on increased depression/suicidality. When even the most affirmed and celebrated trans kid in the world was seriously depressed while blocked, it's time to ask questions.
