‘Blocking puberty impedes the development of sexual functioning; some children…never develop the capacity for orgasm (Jontry 2018). When the endocrinologist at GIDS…was asked about [this], he refused to answer.’

Hi. They're citing Biggs' un-reviewed "paper" that it turn cites a blog post on an anti-trans campaign site, which in turn retells an anecdote from an anonymous second hand source.http://4thwavenow.com/tag/puberty-blockers-and-sexual-function/ …

That "secondhand source" isn't "anonymous"; it's none other than comments made on Facebook by top US gender therapists. Maybe Biggs could have cited a more mainstream source if these people talked about these things more openly and publicly. https://www.facebook.com/groups/transgenderhealth/permalink/1201494443228313/ …pic.twitter.com/GZtaUjgBU9

These clinicians--read the entire thread linked above--admit that NO ONE KNOWS what the impact will be on the adult sexual function (including orgasmic potential) of puberty-blocked kids. Leeper-Edwards, Leibowitz, Olson-Kennedy--the stars of affirmative care DON"T KNOW.

Article Biggs cites isn't anonymously authored. It's by @BJontry . Why not engage with the inconvenient content-- experts in pediatric gender transition admit they're, in effect, experimenting on their patients--instead of playing "shoot the messenger"?https://4thwavenow.com/2018/07/08/does-prepubertal-medical-transition-impact-adult-sexual-function/ …

Learn to read. I didn't say the article Biggs cites is anonymous, I said the article which he cites relies on an anonymous anecdote. None of the FB conversations you post support the claim being made, they simply say the aren't aware of any research on this.

Learn to write. What's the "anonymous anecdote" you're referring to? How interesting that the complete lack of data on this--as well as concerned clinicians THEMSELVES searching for it--seems to be of no concern to you; it's all about going after Biggs for raising the issue.

If you're saying the clinicians aren't revealing names of their patients when sharing anecdotes, protecting privacy is the law in the US. The fact that the original poster and commenters are gender clinicians should add a a bit of authenticity to what they're reporting, eh?

How about the cavalier attitude demonstrated here? We know (just watch the Jazz Jennings show) pubertal blockade suppresses sexual arousal in teens who'd otherwise experience it. Attitude seems to be: Maybe the "big O" won't matter--won't miss what they've never experienced?pic.twitter.com/a9r3ncfwzp
